I have been on Twitter for a couple of years for now but I have had a lot of issues with the current account and the password settings, which is why I have decided to open a new account and skip the current one. The new account will be located at the following address: www.twitter.com/tradeprofitz. So if you want to follow me on Twitter, this is the place to be. If you for some reason prefer one social site over the other, you can also find TradeProfits on FaceBook, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Join in on Twitter here.

GDP – The Turning point for EUR/USD?

Posted on 28. Jan, 2011 by .

We will get GDP out of US in just around 30 minutes. I am patiently waiting for this release and hopefully we will get a better than expected release and we could be looking at a lot of possible downside on EUR/USD, in my opinion. If we get the numbers close to expectations or better I am looking to sell EUR/USD on any kind of pullback after the immediate spike, when spreads are back to normal. If we do get a worse than expected number, I will re-access the market and wait for things to back to normal, and then look for normal setups according to typical technical analysis. However, I hope we will get a better than expected release but we never know, so there is no reason to jump in on something premature here. Wait for the release and if we get a better than expected I see three really good options for now; Possible short on EUR/USD, Short on AUD/USD and finally a long on USD/JPY. The long on USD/JPY would also be supported by yesterday’s S&P cut of Japan’s sovereign debt rating from AA to –AA, along with the strong drop we have seen in the pair in the last couple of hours, could set that pair up really well for a bull trade. Let’s see what US will give us.

Some time ago I made had a facebook page about TradeProfits but back then when creating it, I made the mistake of creating an entire FB profile, which I quickly realized was strictly against Facebooks policy. So after a couple of requests, I decided to go about this once more, and now TradeProfits is back on FaceBook, this time in line with the policy, so hopefully they won’t shut me down once more. Now while it was at it, I decided to create a LinkedIn group as well. So please, join in and let’s get some trading chat going.

Just a short note here, to let you all know that I am in Spain for the upcoming week (actually already here, enjoying the sun) so TradeProfits will be a bit more quiet in the next couple of days. I might write a couple of posts, but my main priority right now, is to relax and enjoy. But stay tuned as I have several things in the pipeline including a contest, a review of Winners Edge Trading´s Premium service, and much more.

TradeProfits – Pagerank 3

There has been a lot of buzz recently regarding pagerank updates from Google. It seems like TradeProfits and ForexPop was updated during the weekend. In the last couple of month, TradeProfits has had a pagerank two, but in the weekend I was happy to see that TradeProfits now has a pagerank of 3. Additionally my new site ForexPop which has only been online for a couple of weeks has already gained a pagerank of 2 and the same for my landingpage to Forex Hacking. My goal is to bump TradeProfits up to a pagerank of 4 before we enter 2011, which I definitely think should be possible. Did you notice any update on your website in the last couple of days, then feel free to drop a comment.

Trip to Sweden – Guest Posts – Advertise

Last Wednesday I went to Sweden with my girlfriend to spend the weekend there. Although it was a bit cold, we had a really good time, and I allowed myself to take a break from trading and blogging. But now with the beginning of a new week, it is time to get back into the game. I have a bunch of things which I am currently working on. I will be writing a couple of reviews in the near future (Forex Powerband Dominator from Dean Saunders, INO, etc.) and some more Trade Setups and Daily Lessons. I am also starting to get a lot of emails with guest posts, from people who have blogs or trading related websites. If you would like to have a guest posts here on TradeProfits, simply email it to me, and if I like it, I will post it. There is also an increase in people who want to advertise here on TradeProfits, so I will be setting up a site with more information about it. For now, send me an email and I will get back to you. That’s it for now.

Barcelona – Blank Page – Job Interview

Posted on 03. Feb, 2010 by .

The last couple of days have been rather hectic, hence not a lot of activity here at TradeProfits. Last Thursday I had my final exam in Lisboa, and I was to leave for Barcelona Friday morning. As Thursday was my last day in Lisboa, we had a great but very sad party in the evening. I went to bed about 3 hours before my flight, in the belief that I would have no problems getting up within an hour. Needless to say that this rational decision did not work out as planned. When I got up, I was very late, and I had to pack all my stuff before rushing out the door. However, I made it to the airport in time, and I arrived in Barcelona a couple of hours later. The plan was to meet up with my brother, but we had forgotten to talk about the details. Slightly hangover, with no credit on my phone, this turned out to be a bit more complicated than expected, but in the end we made it. During the same period, I became a victim of WBSD (WordPress Blank Screen of Death). This was a true nightmare. Most of the pages, both in the control panel of wordpress, and on the actual blog had turned blank. I have no idea why the happened, and how it got back to normal. I tried a dozen of different things, and all of this sudden, everything was back to normal. Hopefully this was the first and last time I will experience this odd phenomenon. I got back to Denmark Monday morning, and the first thing I am facing is the worst winter in 21 years! Now that’s just great. It took me about 2 minutes to realize how much I had enjoyed the weather in Lisboa. Then yesterday I went to a job interview in a new day trade center. At this moment no fixed plans have been made, but I will pay them another visit today, and hopefully I will become part of this new and exciting community. Currently I am working on another project which takes a lot of my time, but hopefully I will have some time to be more active in posting here at TradeProfits and to make a couple of trades every now and then.

December and 2009 in Review

Posted on 05. Jan, 2010 by .

After the first losing month in 2008 (November), December turned out to be a lot better. I had a total of 11 trades during the month of December. 2 of the 11 trades went in to a loss, 4 of them were winners and the remaining 5 trades were closed out at break even. In total I had a return of 20.52% return to my account balance for December, which makes it the best month of 2009. In spite of the large return, my risk management was controlled in the same manner as the previous months.
