Ended August with 587 Pips of Profit

August has ended, and I had a total of 5 trades which gave me a total of 587 pips of profit, or 6.37 % return on my account balance. This was even better than July which gave me a total of 359 pips. From the 5 trades I took in August, I had 4 winners and one looser. The average stop loss was set to 90 pips, and the average take profit levels were at 117.4 pips. I am currently trying to improve my R/R ratio, but 4 winning trades out of 5, and a larger TP than SL, it is already rather good; however, there is always room for improvements. All the trades were posted to my readers in time, for free, with all details, like entry, exit, stop loss level, % risked, etc. Currently I have one trade open, but I don’t track my trades before closing, so this one will get on Septembers track record. Hopefully September will be another positive month.

Latest two trades for 357 Pips profit

August was going good and I was up around 1.8% a few days ago. Last friday, we had the NFP and a lot of action. Some pairs, specially the EUR/USD, had been trading in a range for some days, and it was obvious that the NFP would push it out of this channel, either up or down. I had already entered a short position on the EUR/USD before the NFP, as I actually though we would have seen the pair go down a bit. However, nothing happend, and I had to wait for the NFP. A few minutes after the NFP release, I went long on USD/JPY, and I stayed in the EUR/USD trade. I closed the trades last night, for a total profit of 357 pips, or 3.57% or my total balance. That brings me up to a total of 5.37% for August, or 537 pips. All trades was posted in real time on Twitter, and you should have been able to follow. I am still working on a better solution to get my signals out. But if you want to be sure not to miss anything, be sure to sign up for my RSS feed, and my newsletter, and I will let you know when I am about to make some changes.

Latest trade for 100 pips of profit – July month up with 459 pips

Post nr. 100! July 27th I posted a message on Twitter to short EUR/USD at 1.4260, risking 1% on a 100 pip stop loss, and with an open take profit level. 2 minutes ago I posted a message to close the trade as it is now trading a 1.4160. It might be able to go further down, maybe all the way to 1.4000 before going back up, but as the push down was driven down by the news, I think it is a better idea to take profits quickly. After all, the trend is bullish, so I think this was a good exit. I might be looking into a long position, if and when it reaches 1.4100, but that all depends on a lot of different aspects. All the details of this trade (and all the other ones I have taken) have been posted here on TradeProfits, Twitter or by email to my newsletter subscribers. So far this brings me up to a total of 459 pips of profit or 5.59% for this month. All of which have been free for all readers, followers and subscribers.

As I was at work when I wrote the last post, it was a bit short without much information. I simply had to write that I was closing all the open trades as we didn’t see the move down I expected. Furthermore, we had upcoming news which could make our trades go against us. So I got out in time and in profit. Let’s have a look. First we had two open trades, which was taken July 15th, namely: GBP/JPY where we went short at 154.76. We closed this trade today at 152.62 for a profit of 214 pips. I also went short on EUR/USD at 1.4111 and closed it today at 1.4079 for a profit of 32 pips. Then July 16th I took some additional trades, namely: A Short trade on GBP/USD at 1.6400 which also was closed today at 1.6290 for a profit of 110 pips. I also went Short on AUD/USD at 0.8000 and closed it today at the exact same level, which gave me 0 pips. Lastly I took another Short trade on EUR/JPY at 132.50 and closed it today at 131.89 for a profit of 61 pips. These trades results in a total of 417 pips of profit.

Possible short entry on GBP/USD

Possible short entry on GBP/USD

The GBP/USD pair is currently trading at 1.4540 and as you can see from the picture below, it is currently trading within a Symmetrical triangle. We have a support just around 1.4511, and a break of this, will probably take it down to the bottom of the triangle. A break of the triangle either up or down, should give us some momentum in either direction. I am currently bearish on this pair, and I think we can see a break to the downside today. However, we have upcoming news, which probably will give us a very volatile market throughout the day. I am currently short from 1.4535. Let’s see how things play out.

The first week of my trades resulted in a total of 134 pips, which was a pretty good way to start off. This week (ending today) I had a total of five trades, which is stated below. I had three long trades on GBP/USD. The first one, went directly against me, and resulted in a loss of -62 pips. The next trade, long on GBP/USD went in profit, and I moved stop loss to break even. Shortly after, the pair turned against us, and hit the stop loss at break even. A total of 0 pips for this trade. Next trade was another long on GBP/USD, which we closed with a profit of 125 pips. Then I had a long trade on USD/JPY, but at this didn’t carry through the way I expected, I closed it shortly after at break even, (or one pip profit). The last trade of the week was a short trade on USD/CHF, and this gave me a total of 47 pips.
