ForexPeaceArmy starts testing Forex Signal & Managed Accounts
Posted on 10. Jul, 2009 by Jakob.
ForexPeaceArmy has been running their testing of different Expert Advisors for some time now and more EA’s are added every week. This feature is great and I am sure this is helping a lot of people to decide if they should buy a certain EA or not. I find the testing over at ForexPeaceArmy to be reliable, updated, accurate and objective. Because of this, it was great news when I got an email from ForexPeaceArmy telling me they are adding two more topics to the testing section; namely Forex signals and managed accounts. Although there might be coming more EA’s out, than new Forex signal providers and companies offering managed accounts, this is still a huge topic with a lot of services to be reviewed! Obviously there are certain limitations to the testing of Forex signals, as the guys from ForexPeaceArmy cannot spend every night sitting in front of their laptop waiting in a chat room for trades to be called out (if this was the case with a particular signal provider), but I am sure they will do their very best to test as many as possible. Currently they are testing two different forex signal providers and one managed account. The tests of the forex signal providers are currently showing negative results, and no results for the managed account at this moment. Go over and check it out!

Performance test of Expert Adviser’s
Posted on 24. Apr, 2009 by Jakob.
I have just paid a short visit to the performance test page, over at FPA. The performance test page is basically a subpage to FPA, where they show the result from different EA’s which have been forward tested. The results are very mixed. They are currently testing 14 different robots, including the well known FAP turbo, and the new Forex MegaDroid, which I wrote about here. I believe the choice of these 14 different robots is based on user suggestion, as I have received a couple of email, where I was asked which EA’s I would like to see tested. So if you have any preferences as to what you would like FPA to test, I guess you should simply throw them an email. Needless to say that I find this to be a very good alternative to actually buying them! Sales letters are one thing, reality is a different one, especially is this industry! Another positive aspect of these test are, that even if you buy it, you most likely won’t keep it running 24 hours a day, just to test it trading paper money. FAP will (If I understood them correct). When you have seen sufficient forward and feel convinced, then buying it might become an option. I am looking to do some EA testing as well, and post the results here at TradeProfits. More on this later. Let’s have a look at the results from FPA’s performance test.

BabyPips starts Reviewing – ReviewPips
Posted on 14. Apr, 2009 by Jakob.
Those of you, who are into forex trading, probably know babypips.com. This is a great site with a lot of information about how to trade the forex market. If you are new to the game, I suggest you get over there now and start reading. For a long time, BabyPips has mostly been known for their forex school section. They also run a forum, a blog, calendar, etc. The site has been running for some years now, and everything is pretty much the same, as the first time I visited the page. However, a few weeks ago they started their new section ReviewPips. I guess they have seen how much ForexPeaceArmy is charging for a small add spot. There is no doubt that there is a great demand for these reviews, and obviously BabyPips would like be a part of this industry. There is still a long way to go, before ReviewPips will be anything close to ForexPeaceArmy, but the page is up and running, and although the amount of reviews is small, it does grow. I guess they will have to do some kind of marketing before the ball really starts rolling, but let’s see. After all, BabyPips have been in this game for a long time, so I guess they know what they are doing. I will be following to see how things work out.

ForexPeaceArmy starts testing Expert Advisor’s

ForexPeaceArmy on EA´s
The guys over at ForexPeaceArmy have added a new feature to their popular homepage. Although they have had plenty of reviews for Expert Advisors in their review section, they have now started to test some of these, trading paper money. This is, in my mind, a great addition. There are released new EA’s almost every single day, every one of them claiming farfetched results. Obviously, the majority of these automated trading robots will not perform anything close to the results stated.
