Economic Calendar on MyFxBook
Posted on 30. Sep, 2010 by Jakob.
MyFxBook now have an economic calendar similar to the one over at ForexFactory with the typical features. Now do we really need more economic calendars? Just a couple of weeks ago, the BabyPips family also launched a new economic calendar and there are a plenty of others ones out there already. However, there is one particular feature on the calendar over at MyFxBook which I would like to point out; not only is the design of the calendar slick and easy to navigate, but they offer to send you an email xx minutes before a particular news release. Now this is not something I would use today, but I have had this feature when I started out in the forex market, I could have save a lot of money on bad trades entered a couple of minutes before fundamental news releases. If you have this problem, well here is your solution. Check it out over at MyFxBook.

New Forex Calendar from BabyPips
Posted on 23. Jul, 2010 by Jakob.
Forex calendars are useful for traders who want to stay on top with fundamental news releases which affects the currency market. There are a bunch of them out there, and the most popular one is probably the one over at ForexFactory. BabyPips is one of the most popular forex portals and now they have launched their own Economic news calendar. My first impression is that it is very similar to all the other calendars out there, with a few small differences. One thing they have added is the Session view where you can see in which session a specific news event is coming out (NY, Tokyo, London, Sydney). Then obviously it has a different look and you have some other modification options. However there really aren’t a whole lot of different elements here compared to all the other ones. For those of you who like to have everything in one place, BabyPips economic calendar might be a good option but I will stick the ones I am familiar with. Check out BabyPips economic calendar here.

mt4pips.com – A new Site from the BabyPips family
Posted on 21. Feb, 2010 by Jakob.
mt4pips.com is a new site created by the owners of Babypips (and FreshPips, MeetPips, AskPips, ReviewPips). It was launched just a couple of days ago, and it is pretty cool. I have been beta testing the site for a month now, and it runs pretty smoothly. mt4pips.com is a site similar to MyFxBook; a site where you connect your profile to your MetaTrader platform and the information of your trades are then shown on the site, for you to analyze and share with everyone. I enjoy using MyFxBook because it has a high level of features and ways in which you can track and analyze your trades. mt4pips on the other hand, has made everything very simple and clean; a different style but still good choice and my guess is that they will be adding more features in the future. Getting started with mt4pips will probably be a lot easier for many new traders, than jumping into MyFxBook. Check out mt4pips here. Signing up is free and will take you 60 seconds. Tell us what you think about mt4pips.com below.

BabyPips new site – AskPips
Posted on 14. Aug, 2009 by Jakob.
I have written about the well known forex portal BabyPips before. This is a great page with a lot of information for forex traders. They have been around for many years with good reason. You can be sure to find some valueble information. Besides Babypips, they also run Freshpips which is a social news site like digg and reddit, just about anything related to forex trading; Another truly great site. Now today I just got an email about their newest site, AskPips. I guess you can tell what it is all about. The site is very similar to Yahoo ask, just about forex. I have paid them a visit and signed up. I am not sure how long the site has been up and running, but probably not very long. In spite of this, there seems to be a high level of activity over there. I am sure this will turn out to be another popular part of the pips familie. Do you have any questions about forex trading? Then go over to AskPips and give it a go. You will probably have your answer within a few hours.

BabyPips starts Reviewing – ReviewPips
Posted on 14. Apr, 2009 by Jakob.
Those of you, who are into forex trading, probably know babypips.com. This is a great site with a lot of information about how to trade the forex market. If you are new to the game, I suggest you get over there now and start reading. For a long time, BabyPips has mostly been known for their forex school section. They also run a forum, a blog, calendar, etc. The site has been running for some years now, and everything is pretty much the same, as the first time I visited the page. However, a few weeks ago they started their new section ReviewPips. I guess they have seen how much ForexPeaceArmy is charging for a small add spot. There is no doubt that there is a great demand for these reviews, and obviously BabyPips would like be a part of this industry. There is still a long way to go, before ReviewPips will be anything close to ForexPeaceArmy, but the page is up and running, and although the amount of reviews is small, it does grow. I guess they will have to do some kind of marketing before the ball really starts rolling, but let’s see. After all, BabyPips have been in this game for a long time, so I guess they know what they are doing. I will be following to see how things work out.

Fxstreet’s new Learning Center
Posted on 08. Apr, 2009 by Jakob.
Starting out in Forex Trading can be a tough experience, and finding reliable information is not always that easy. BabyPips has been around for many years, providing beginners with a useful and informative guide to Forex Trading. Although this will not make you a professional trader, it sure is a great place to start, if you need to know the basics. For a long period, BabyPips has been the only (to my knowledge) website offering this kind service. This has obviously brought BabyPips lots of traffic, so it is understandable that others want to join in.
