Pennystocker – A Timothy Sykes Wannabe?

Justin Bostwick is an 18 year old student, and the creator of Pennystocker.com, a new blog about, (yep, you got that right) short selling pennystocks. This seems to be a hot topic ever since Timothy Sykes, a participant in Wall Street Warrior and the creator of timothysykes.com, started blogging about this topic. I have been following TimothySykes.com for some month now, and I think it’s a great blog. I have watched some of his DVD’s and its top notch. Now Justin decided to start a blog on the exact same topic. He launched Pennystocker.com on March 25th, 2009, so the blog has only been running for a few days. In spite of this, there are already some interesting posts to check out. By signing up at his page, you will receive a short guide on short selling penny stocks. The design of the page is simple and clean. Everything seems promising. However, it does have a lot of similarities to Tim’s blog. Specially the daily penny stock picks. The topics covered in his guide is basically some of advices from Tim’s different DVD’s. Timothy Sykes is also mentioned in the guide, and there is a link to his blog on Pennystocker.com.

But hey, so what! It sure seems like there should be enough room for more bloggers in this industry. The only thing I think Justin should do, is maybe give some more credit to Tim, but how am I to judge this. TradeProfits.net is also “just another trading blog”. I am probably covering a lot of things which has been posted before. At least Pennystocker.com has an about page and a contact form. Two important elements to have in place before launching a blog, but somehow this is still missing at tradeprofits. I think Justin has done a great job, launching the blog, and according to his trade history, this has been going pretty good as well. I will definitely be following his blog, to get some good ideas. Keep up the good work Justin. Check out here.

It’s so refreshing for someone to divulge this deceptively simple information without putting a premium on it. Tim is a great trader but he spams his blog waaaayyyyy too much and it really takes away from the learning experience. Am I the only person who thinks it’s wrong for him to charge 300 for a dvd and that he made 100k in april? Personally, I no longer respect him, as he is nothing more than a salesman. I also don’t think such success will last, as there’s only so much info you can make people pay for. Ok, enough timbashing. Thanks again for all you do and please don’t sell out!
