MetaTrader 5 – First Impression
Posted on 26. Oct, 2009 by Jakob in Random Noise, Review
I have downloaded MetaTrader 5 and played around with it for a while now. Overall it seems to be very similar to MetaTrader 4. There are some small changes in the look, but not a lot. One thing I noted right away was the addition of new time frames. Basically MetaTrader comes with the following:
• 21 timeframes
• 38 technical indicators
• 39 graphical objects
• 4 scaling modes
• 17 styles of displaying Custom Indicators
There are some changes but I guess I will notice it a lot more, when I start using it trading real accounts. However, not everyone is pleased about the new MetaTrader 5 platform. Take a look at this post here. If you want to try MetaTrader 5, you can do so right now, as it is out in a beta version. Check it out here. Tell us what you think about the new MetaTrader 5.

I actually stopped using it after a few weeks of testing and so far I am still an MT4 user. I will continue with MT4 for now, until I find a very good reason to change. Apparently MT5 should be far superior to MT4, specially for EA´s users – but as I am not using a lot of EA´s, this has not been a reason for me to change.
