December and 2009 in Review
Posted on 05. Jan, 2010 by Jakob in Forex Signals, newsletter, Random Noise
After the first losing month in 2008 (November), December turned out to be a lot better. I had a total of 11 trades during the month of December. 2 of the 11 trades went in to a loss, 4 of them were winners and the remaining 5 trades were closed out at break even. In total I had a return of 20.52% return to my account balance for December, which makes it the best month of 2009. In spite of the large return, my risk management was controlled in the same manner as the previous months.
I started my signals back in June in 2009 and since then I have taken a total of 69 trades. Total return on account balance is 25.24% for 2009, and a total of 1332 pips. Most trades have been with stop losses from 50 – 100 pips, and I tend to risk 1 – 2% per trade. My rule is to stay below 5% on any given trade, and so far I have not gone any higher than 3%. It has been an interesting year, and the trading has been going pretty good. All my trades have been shared on twitter for free. I post all the details, and I try to warn my readers well in advance, before a possible trade. See my performance for 2009.
A lot of interesting things are about to happen here on TradeProfits. As you know, I am about to change the way in which I send out my signals (be sure to sign up for my newsletter for updates), and I will hopefully get two partners onboard, who will help me with my signal service. More on this later. As I promised some time ago, I will be testing Tom Strignano’s signal service out, in the upcoming days, and I will write a detailed review about the service. I am also looking to host a contest where you can win one month membership to Profit Mongers (Read my review of Profit Mongers). Stay tuned.
