MyFxBook – Forex Trading Contest
Posted on 20. Jun, 2011 by Jakob.
MyFxBook hosted a trading competition some months ago and now they are back, ready with a new one where you can compete against other traders on a demo account and win cash prizes if you are a skilled forex trader. The contest will begin on July 1st and last for one month. Winners (top 2) are those with the highest balance at the end of the contest period, after liquidation. $5,000 in total prizes will be given out. $3,000 for first place, $2,000 for second place. All you have to do in order to participate is to open a demo account with FXCM and connect it to your MyFxBook account. Participating accounts start each with a $50,000 balance. Accounts are blocked from trading before the competition starts. Registration ends at 07/31/10 07:00 EST so you still have a couple of days to get started. If you spend the entire day, day trading the forex market anyway, why not sign up for this competition. Read all the details here.

Two Contest Opportunities with FXCM
Posted on 21. Sep, 2010 by Jakob.
As most of you probably know, FXCM is hosting a monthly contest for all their micro account members, and the upcoming month is no exception. You simply need to have an account balance of $500 (as a minimum) at October 1st and you will automatically be part of this contest. The winner is based on the largest percentage return. So if you have some super scalping skills or a killer EA, you might want to join in. I prefer to skip the entire thing as the winners tend to have some 1000% return and this will most likely affect you in a psychological way and make this a playground for fear and greed where all rational aspect are put aside. I have been there and I have no intentions of going back. However, if you go into this, knowing it will be an absolute gamble, due to overleverage and overtrading, then I still think it could be a fun ride. The other contest from FXCM might a better option as this is risk-free (at least in terms of capital). This contest is obviously a marketing stunt used in order to promote their new Strategy Trader platform.

Holiday in Spain
Posted on 03. Jul, 2010 by Jakob.
Just a short note here, to let you all know that I am in Spain for the upcoming week (actually already here, enjoying the sun) so TradeProfits will be a bit more quiet in the next couple of days. I might write a couple of posts, but my main priority right now, is to relax and enjoy. But stay tuned as I have several things in the pipeline including a contest, a review of Winners Edge Trading´s Premium service, and much more.

Win a Forex Mastermind Mentoring Course from Henry Liu
Posted on 22. Jun, 2010 by Jakob.
Henry Liu, the author of Newsprofiteer and now also the creator of the Forex Mastermind Mentoring Homestudy Course is giving you a chance to win a free copy of this course which normally is sold at a price of $2897.00. Henry is one trader who I truly admire, and he is definitely more conservative on his marketing approach compare to all the others in this industry who constantly pushes new services or products. In addition to this, your odds of winning here are rather good, and you don’t even have to buy anything. A total of 15 Forex Mastermind Mentoring Homestudy Courses will be given away, and so far two winners have been announced. There is basically two ways in which you can participate in this contest.

MyFxBook – Contest Registration and Expert Advisor Review Section
Posted on 25. Apr, 2010 by Jakob.
Some days ago I wrote about MyFxBook and their new contest section (read it here). A total of $3,500 in prizes will be given out in the first contest and it is free to participate. You only need to have a demo account with FXDD. You only have 7 days left to sign up, so go ahead and join in here. In addition to the new contest section, MyFxBook has also added a new Expert Advisor review section. This is brand new so there are still no reviews but the section itself is very neat! I really like the layout of the site, and the way you can cast your vote. Check it out and drop the first vote.

Posted on 19. Apr, 2010 by Jakob.
MyFxBook is constantly updating their site with new features. They have had a “coming soon” contest section for some time, and now it is finally live. The first contest starts at 05/05/2010, 07:00 EST and ends at 06/05/2010, 07:00 EST, and you need to register two days before the contest starts. There is a total of $3,500 in prizes; $2,000 for the first place, $1,000 for the second place and $500 for the third place. As the contest is sponsored by FXDD you need to open a demo account with FXDD and connect it to MyFxBook. That’s pretty much it. The contest is free of charge, the only thing you need to do is get a demo account with FXDD, sign up for the contest here, connect your FXDD demo account with MyFxBook and start trading. Good luck everyone.
